Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 August 2026

This policy explains what information Billever collects when you use our invoicing and customer-ledger service, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is maintained by the Billever team and describes our current practices.

Information we collect

  • Account information — the email address and password you register with, and your display name if you provide one.
  • Business data you enter — firm details such as name, address, GSTIN and bank details; customer details; invoices, line items, payments and ledger entries.
  • Uploaded files — logos, signatures and any document images you upload for automatic detail extraction.
  • Technical data — basic logs generated when the application is used, needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

We use your data to provide the Service: authenticating you, storing and displaying your firms, customers, invoices and ledgers, generating printable documents, and supporting you when you contact us. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your business records for advertising.

Document scanning

When you use the scan-to-fill feature, the image you upload is sent to an AI model provider for the sole purpose of extracting the fields shown to you. Only upload documents you are permitted to process.

Storage and access control

Data is stored in a managed cloud database. Records are scoped to your user account and firm at the database level, so other accounts cannot read them. Logos and signatures are kept in private storage and served through time-limited links. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider.

Service providers

We rely on infrastructure partners for hosting, database, authentication, file storage and AI document extraction. They process data on our instructions and only as needed to run the Service.

Retention

Your business records are retained for as long as your account is active, because invoices and ledgers are records you may need for statutory purposes. When you delete a firm, its invoices, payments and ledger entries are removed. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account data unless we are required to keep something by law.

Your choices

  • Access and correct your data directly in the app at any time.
  • Delete a firm and its records from the firm settings.
  • Request account deletion or a copy of your data by writing to support@billever.com.

Cookies

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and remember interface preferences such as dark mode and your selected invoice template.

Children

Billever is intended for business use and is not directed at children.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product evolves; the date at the top shows the latest revision. For any privacy question or request, write to support@billever.com.
